MasterBuilt Gravity Series 560 vs 800 vs 1050

Masterbuilt BBQs offers three different models of charcoal grills: the 560, the 800, and the 1050. Each model has its unique features and specifications that make it suitable for different cooking needs. In this blog post, we'll explore the differences between these models and help you decide which one is the best fit for your barbecuing needs.

Masterbuilt BBQs are perfect for families who love the taste of charcoal-cooked food without the hassle of constant monitoring. Their versatile design allows you to grill, bake, sear, roast, and smoke a wide variety of dishes, making them ideal for any family gathering or backyard get-together. The Masterbuilt Gravity Series grills come in three different models – the 560, 800, and 1050 – offering a range of sizes and features to suit your family's needs.

Masterbuilt 560 Charcoal Grill:

The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 560 is the smallest of the three models, but it still packs a lot of punch. This grill has a cooking area of 560 square inches, which is perfect for small to medium-sized gatherings. It is made with heavy-duty stainless steel and has a porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grate. The grill also features a built-in temperature gauge and adjustable air dampers to give you complete control over the cooking temperature.

One of the most unique features of the Masterbuilt 560 is its patented ash removal system. The system allows you to easily remove the ashes from the grill without having to disassemble the unit. This makes cleaning up after your barbecue a breeze. The 560 also has a side-loading charcoal chute, which makes it easy to add more charcoal without disturbing the food that is already cooking.

Masterbuilt 800 Charcoal Grill:

The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 800 is a mid-sized charcoal grill that has a cooking area of 800 square inches. It is made with heavy-duty stainless steel and has a porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grate. The grill also features a built-in temperature gauge and adjustable air dampers for precise temperature control.

One of the most significant differences between the 800 and the other two gravity series models is that it comes with a griddle plate as well as the normal cooking grates.  This griddle is fantastic for doing smash burgers, breakfasts, eggs and pretty much anything that you'd do in a pan or on a flat plate.  To convert to using the griddle its pretty easy you just remove the two grill grates, take out the existing manifold and replace with he griddle manifold, then simply place the cast iron griddle plate in the grill and your good to go!

Masterbuilt 1050 Charcoal Grill:

The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 is the largest of the three models, with a cooking area of 1050 square inches. It is made with heavy-duty stainless steel and has a porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grate. The grill also features a built-in temperature gauge and adjustable air dampers for precise temperature control.

One of the most significant differences between the 1050 and the other two models is the addition of a charcoal hopper. The hopper allows you to add charcoal to the grill without having to lift the cooking grates. This makes it easy to add more charcoal as needed and helps maintain a consistent cooking temperature. The 1050 also has a built-in ash removal system, which makes cleaning up after your barbecue a breeze.
